FAQ – Soliq mounting system for solar panels on flat roofs

Here you will find frequently asked questions and answers. Can't find the answer to your question? Contact us at info@soliqsystem.com

Is there a configurator for Soliq?

Yes. Soliq has a configurator that helps you quickly develop a complete solution based on panel dimensions, roof data, and desired layout. The configurator guides you through the entire process and generates both an article list and system proposal, making planning faster and easier.

Is there support for cable management directly in the system?

Yes. Soliq integrates with MP bolagen's wiring steps and cable clamp, providing a complete solution for cable management throughout the entire installation.

How does the ballast solution work?

Soliq has a low ballast level thanks to the system's stiffness and large footprint. The ballast requirement is calculated according to NEN 7250, which provides an optimised and safe result.

How are thermal movements managed?

Thermal breaks are integrated into the joints, which eliminates the need for separate expansion components.

How long is the warranty?

The system is covered by a 25-year warranty.

How many tools are needed for the assembly?

Only one tool is needed: Torx 30. The system is designed to make the assembly faster and easier.

Can panels be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The system allows lateral adjustment of panels to simplify fitting and achieve straight rows even on uneven ceiling surfaces.

Can the system be combined with cable management from MP bolagen?

Yes. Cable ladders and wire ladders from MP bolagen can be integrated into the installation, providing a complete solution from inverter to panel.

Where is Soliq manufactured?

All sheet metal components are manufactured in Sweden, at the MP group's facility in Ekenässjön, Småland.

What corrosion class does the system have?

All sheet metal products in the Soliq system meet C4environmentalö.

What installation time can one expect?

Thanks to few components, one tool and integrated features, Soliq is designed to make assembly faster and easier compared to traditional systems. Exact times vary depending on project size and roof type.

What panel sizes are supported?

Soliq can handle widths of 992–1310 mm and thicknesses of 28–45 mm.

Which snow zones can the system handle?

Soliq is mechanically tested for snow zone 1–5.5.

What tests is the system verified with?

The system has been tested in a wind tunnel according to NEN 7250:2021, as well as lift tests, snow load tests and salt spray tests according to ISO 9227:2022. The tests show that the system achieves higher stability than calculated in simulations.

Which roof types is Soliq adapted for?

The system is designed specifically for flat roofs with a maximum slope of 5 degrees, regardless of whether it is covered with roofing felt, membrane, concrete or similar substrate.
